Material Handler - The Greenbrier Companies : Job Details

The Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within or near the plant, yard or work site. Duties and Responsibilities. . Receives, processes and tags incoming material. Moves inventory materials to their respective area. Issues parts to areas of work in process. Uses steel cutters, crowbar, clawhammer or other hand tools to open containers. Performs cycle counting and physical inventories. Maintains equipment in clean, good working order. Documents and enters inventory information into the computer system. Qualifications. The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties. Minimum Qualifications. Experience in forklift operations. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, steel toed boots, goggles, ear plugs, gloves. Proficient in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
