Job Summary: The Material Handler will be responsible for the accurate and fast-paced picking of customer orders, ensuring the correct item, lot number, and quantity are assembled to meet customer order requirements. Additionally, this role involves preparing orders for shipment, ensuring proper packing and shipment modes are used to meet product and customer expectations. The Material Handler will also adhere to SOPs and compliance standards, including Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Accurately and efficiently pick customer orders, verifying the correct item, lot number, and quantity for each order.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that items are packed in a customer-friendly manner, with appropriate carton checking, material packing into boxes, containers, or pallets.
- Ensure the safe protection of products and correct shipment modes are used to guarantee timely and safe delivery to customers.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all material handling and shipment processes.
- Comply with Quality Standards and Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of shipping and packaging procedures.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, with the ability to follow SOPs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in material handling or warehousing.
- Familiarity with inventory management or logistics software is a plus.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to pounds regularly and safely handle materials. Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach during shifts.
Work Environment: - The role requires working in a warehouse environment, with occasional exposure to varying temperatures and conditions based on the materials being handled.
