What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in material handling and/or warehousing
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations, manufacturing processes, material flow strategies, and quality control procedures
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, with the ability to assess compliance with laws, regulations, and standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills with the ability to operate PC terminals and RF scanning devices
- Ability to obtain necessary power vehicle licenses (e.g., Hi-Lo, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Scissor Lift) as required
- Experience with SAP software and its core functionalities, preferred
- Familiarity with MTU America products, policies, and procedures, preferred
What You'll Do as a Material Handler
- Perform SAP transactions according to functional area work instructions
- Operate radio frequency (RF) scanners to manage material movements, conduct cycle counts, and ship engines
- Prepare, package, and supply materials following MTU America's Material Flow Strategy
- Transport materials between storage locations and MTU America Operations
- Read and interpret standard work instructions, operational documents, and reports
- Inspect and maintain equipment logs as required
- Handle all shipping and receiving activities for production and non-production materials, including finished engines
- Position and align components within the warehouse or operations as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety regulations
- Provide management with updates on progress, developments, and potential issues
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities to improve efficiency
- Support special projects and assist with materials and production-related tasks as needed
