Job Type Full-time Description JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure flow of raw materials into departments assigned. Pull and deliver raw materials necessary for production in an organized, safe, and consistent manner, providing for the rotation of stock and the preservation and security of all materials. 2. Safely store finished goods in an organized fashion that allows for product rotation and minimizes product damage. 3. Operate material moving equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.) in a manner that prioritizes safety and minimizes damages as required by department standards. 4. Report any damage caused by the forklift, or other material moving equipment, to Director of Production & Manufacturing immediately. 5. Palletize and label finished product as assigned. 6. Prepare unused raw materials for storage and return to the warehouse when applicable. 7. Strive to continuously improve the efficiency of the systems and operational aspects of material handling and production activities. 8. Maintain proper housekeeping procedures in warehouse and loading dock. 9. Maintain the required output levels as specified by the department supervisor. 10. Inspect products to identify and report possible defects. 11. Ensure finished goods are stored securely. 12. Report defective or damaged finished goods to Director of Production & Manufacturing and quarantine for rework or other disposition. 13. Work and coordinate within the product flow of the department and coordinate all activities with the supervisor. 14. Adhere to the Lighthouse safety plan by utilizing safe workplace practices and reporting all injuries, accidents, near misses, emergencies, and safety hazards to the designated Lighthouse official. 15. Conduct all business in a positive, relationship-building manner at all times to ensure that functions are successfully integrated into Lighthouse production, material management, and accounting processes. 16. Perform all duties in compliance with Lighthouse's ISO Quality system procedures. 17. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. 2. Special Knowledge or Skills: Forklift certification or equivalent training with ability to pass forklift certification. Must be able to read and write English proficiently. Organizational skills; ability to multi-task. 3. Experience: Pallet jack/ Forklift operation heavily preferred; previous material handling experience. 4. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A 5. Physical: Able to perform duties as required by department and function, accommodations may be made if reasonable and feasible; Able to bend, stoop, climb, stand and walk on a regular basis; ability to lift 60 lbs and maneuver 500 lbs throughout the day. Able to travel throughout the facility to safely and effectively manage all work responsibilities, breaks, and emergency evacuations, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Able to manage all self-care needs and activities of daily living as required to support successful employment, with or without a reasonable accommodation. 6. Personality Traits: Dependable, motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and people-oriented. 7. Working Conditions: Inside and outside, production and warehouse environment. 8. Work Schedule: Typically 40 hours, M-F, may be more or less depending on business need. 9. Background Check and Drug Testing Required: Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results.
