Position SummaryThe material handler is responsible for ensuring product parts and supplies are readily available for our production lines and other support areas.Role and ResponsibilitiesSecond Shift- 6:00PM- 2:40AMMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies instock; recording location of inventory.Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.All other duties as assigned.Skills and QualificationsSecond Shift- 6:00PM- 2:40AMREQUIRED:High School diploma or equivalentMust be able to speak, read, and write EnglishThe ability to stand up for 8 - 10 hours a day requiredOvertime opportunities possibleThe ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basisThe ability to pass a drug test and background checkAbility to read and understand manufacturing instructionsMust be age 18 or olderMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMinimum 2 years of related/relevant work experience, such as driving a fork lift or tugger.Valid drivers' licensePREFERRED/DESIRED:Need to be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environmentExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plusProficient with the use of shop equipment including mills, lathes, grinders and weldersThe ability to work with components that are in constant motion along an assembly line without adverse effectsThe ability to work on a team of co-workers in close proximity to each otherThe ability to make timely decisions and provide feedback to each otherHave a strong desire for personal and professional developmentFork lift certification/license* Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and its subsidiaries are committed to employing a diverse workforce, and provide Equal Employment Opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a protected veteran, genetic information, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
