Apply today!POSITION SUMMARYThe material handler is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform production operation duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, or other power equipment.
  • Maintain the facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
WORKING CONDITIONSVariable temperature conditions depending on staging areas of product. Operation of the fork truck in outdoor conditions is sometimes required. Continuous movement of material throughout the production floor results in hectic, cluttered conditions. Operation of the fork truck in high traffic pedestrian areas requires extreme caution and attention to detail.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical exertion required with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Regularly sit for long periods of time as well as walk with frequent occasionally bend, twist, and move about the facility.QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) year of forklift experience.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to read and write in basic English.
  • Good mathematical and computer skills.
  • Must be able to obtain Fork truck Certification through MKC.
