We are looking for a Material Handler/Shipper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be: Responsible for the handling of all outgoing inventory and maintaining the highest levels of inventory accuracy and in order fulfillment.Duties to picking, packing and shipping of all materials in accordance with AMETEK policies and procedures on a timely basis.Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting of inventory to AMETEK requirements.Excellent communication and people skills are required, both oral and written.Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekend operations hours as needed.Other duties deemed necessary by business conditions. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Computer Literacy with Email, ERP SystemWarehouse/Storeroom experienceKnowledge of Small Parcel CompaniesAbility to lift 65 lbs.Communication Skills TOOLS Computer WorkstationProper Packaging SuppliesPackaging Equipment ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE Reports to Logistics and Compliance Manager CONTACT WITH OTHERS Customer Service ManagerProduction SupervisorInternal Customers (Product Managers, Buyers, Assemblers) ASSIGNMENT AND REVIEW OF WORK Sales Orders are printed as they are entered or eligible to be shipped.Orders are Packed and Shipped after 3-way verification of correct parts are pulled and shipped. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY In the absence of direct supervision, the expectation is that this position will be able to make decisions after consulting with the Manufacturing Manager. MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THE JOB Workload balance at various parts of the Month.Completing all picking, packing and shipping activities prior to the Transportation Companies scheduled pickup times.
