We are currently seeking candidates to work at our Monroe, Georgia location. We need Material Handlers III (Entry) and Material Handlers II (Skilled) who are comfortable working in a high speed production process as well as attention to detail to ensure that a quality product is produced for our customers. Individuals hired for this position must be able and available to train and work on available shifts and be willing and able to work mandatory overtime.

Shift/s Available:

A shift (Monday through Friday) 6:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

B shift (Monday through Friday) 2:50 p.m. to 11:10 p.m. (Priority)

C shift (Monday through Thursday) 10:50 p.m. to 7:10 a.m. (Priority)

MATERIAL HANDLER III (Entry Level)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work from parts lists, packing lists, receiving reports, production schedules, and warehouse PCs to order, receive, count, store, issue, load, identify and locate materials.
  • Ensure uninterrupted production with tight inventory control.
  • Monitor progress of supplies, materials, parts and assemblies for early detection of shortages.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Coordinate release of parts, reworks, finished goods or supplies to internal departments and external suppliers/customers.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation accompanies all activities.
  • Ensure inventory rotation is using FIFO principle of receipt and issue.
  • As requested by Supervisor, functionally direct, train, assist and/or substitute for other material handlers.
  • Operate handling equipment as required (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year warehouse inventory experience
  • Forklift experience helpful.
  • Must be safety-oriented and detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Data entry or prior database use a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment.

MATERIAL HANDLER II (Skilled)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work from parts lists, packing lists, receiving reports, production schedules, and warehouse PCs to order, receive, count, store, issue, load, identify and locate materials.
  • Ensure uninterrupted production with tight inventory control.
  • Monitor progress of supplies, materials, parts and assemblies for early detection of shortages.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Coordinate release of parts, reworks, finished goods or supplies to internal departments and external suppliers/customers.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation accompanies all activities.
  • Ensure inventory rotation using FIFO principle of receipt and issue.
  • As requested by Supervisor, functionally direct, train, assist and/or substitute for other material handlers.
  • Handle packaging procedures to ensure safety of shipment.
  • Ensure that product quantity and description match the load sheet.
  • Pull, pack and ship finished goods.
  • Process customer's orders by ensuring that the right shipment is shipped
  • Ensure that all customer' receipts (ASN) are accurate and done in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all received product is accurate and place in the correct storage area according to the receiving process.
  • Follow all department processes and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year warehouse inventory experience (shipping, receiving, clerk)
  • Forklift experience.
  • Must be safety-oriented and very detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds continuously.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Data entry or prior database use, a plus.
  • Prior automotive manufacturing experience desired.
  • Stand up lift experience desired.
  • Experience with RF scanners and AS400 system desired.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, bend and walk consistently for 8 to 12 hours. The employee occasionally is required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must continuously lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly for 8 to 12 hours, and occasionally continuously lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment.

Frequently works in hot and cold environment. Frequently works weekend and OT hours.
