RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

  • Safelyoperate forklift for routine established work, must be licensed. Lifting and moving 5-10,000 lbs.
  • Always follow the safe operation of all equipment and follow safety guidelines
  • Perform assigned work in a timely manner
  • Capable of making routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic banding and packaging issues or seek assistance from a supervisor
  • Report and correctly document Bill of Lading, incoming steel, out-going finished product andsafelyand properly load and unload trucks
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance checks daily on equipment
  • TeamworkandCommunicationbetween shifts ismandatory
  • Package parts according to company procedures
  • Band bundles according to company procedures
  • Each shift is responsible for properly banding and packaging finish bundles according to companies banding procedures. Supervisors and Quality will address packaging discrepancies should the need arise,only supervisors or quality

    • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of material handling including all safety guidelines
  • Demonstrate competency in basic shop math
  • Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance
  • Flexible and responsive with with a strongteamworkorientation
  • Good verbal and writtencommunicationskills
  • Strong orientation towardquality,safety, andcontinuous improvement

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours a day
    • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1-50 lbs frequently
    • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach outward frequently
    • Ability to work in a 65-88 degree Fahrenheit work environment
    • Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hand protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing
