Material Handling and Forklift Operations Specialist - Clean Harbors : Job Details

Position Overview The Material Handling and Forklift Operations Specialist is essential for our operations, dedicated to the safe management of materials by offloading, palletizing, and reloading using a forklift. You will coordinate the transportation of materials between facilities and ensure compliance with storage regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely offload, palletize, and reload materials utilizing a forklift.
• Coordinate transportation logistics between different locations.
• Efficiently manage dispatch and transportation schedules.
• Track and oversee timeline for manifest returns.
• Maintain accurate records in the Hub Database, including email coordination and hub management.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in Windows-based software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely climb on and off forklifts and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical fitness required; must demonstrate ability to perform at least 10 push-ups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups.
• Capability to move heavy drums weighing up to 800 lbs using specialized equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience operating machinery.
• Prior experience with excavators or haul trucks is advantageous.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
