job summary: A Material Planner in the Camarillo, CA area is needed for a multinational power management company. The Material Planner is responsible for coordinating material procurement, inventory management, and ensuring timely material deliveries to support production schedules, while optimizing costs and collaborating with cross-functional teams.location: Camarillo, California job type: Contract salary: $21.74 - 30.00 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Associates responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory targets.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials, components, and parts according to production needs, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and components.
- Initiate replenishment orders to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize material deliveries based on production schedules and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify accuracy.
- Reconcile discrepancies and update inventory records accordingly.
- Analyze demand patterns, consumption rates, and supplier performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
Skills:
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control techniques, and materials management best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
