Material Processor

The Food Equipment Group is one of seven ITW decentralized business segments. This position is in the Hobart Warewash Division at its Lancaster, Pennsylvania facility, located within Greenfield, Lancaster.
The Warewash Business Division produces Stero and Somat branded commercial dishwashers, waste equipment and disposers used in hotels, retail, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities, and other environments. We are the industry leader and seeking to expand our growth in existing served markets as well as new markets.
Summary:
The role of Material Processor is to perform the duties associated with the tasks related to the material inventory function of the business. Works within assigned department(s) with various products, assembly lines, internal and external Engineering, Service Groups and Vendors.
What you Will Do:
Placement of POs for specified parts, including C-item and inventory, review of exception reports, receiving conformations, tracking delivery of incoming parts to production lines, materials group, production supervisors, follow up and direct communication with suppliers on day-to-day basis to ensure timely delivery
Inventory maintenance responsibility up to/including system updates for cycle counting and reporting, also assisting with cycle counting issues to troubleshoot root cause, resolution, and alleviation of future occurrences, collaborate with Materials for Kanban set-up including creation and maintenance of cards. Track and update Expedite Sheets Daily.
Attention to detail – ensure entries to Epicor or other inventory functions are updated correctly, understands the correlation between inventory entry and financial impact, discovers or anticipates issues and communicates appropriately
Coordinates all service orders, including entering sales order, notifying line supervisor/managers and materials as required for manufactured parts and/or large orders that could impact plant production, keying of inventory, either inventory transfer or Kanban receipt, and packaging for shipment/ bin system and differentiation of expense items compared to inventory parts, cycle counting procedures
Adherence to safety standards including, but not limited to, work-area housekeeping and safe storage of materials/inventory.
Familiar with RMA process, rejects damaged items, documents. Assist with DMR/RA processes for all defective parts or equipment for replacement or credit including the facilitation of returning parts to the supplier
Communicates effectively/ utilizes teamwork with appropriate cross-functional personnel, including management, accounting, purchasing, assembly, engineering, customer service, service, warehouse, etc. May communicate with outside vendors in person, over the phone or via email for purposes related to materials including expediting and problem/issue resolution
Prepare and expedite shipments, warehouse or direct
File and maintain all required documents, understand document retention requirements and disposition
Assist/train other employees in understanding the Kanban and MRD processes
Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
Epicor experience/ knowledge, Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of Access,
Understanding of MRD application and Kanban System
Customer Service Skills
Associate Degree in Business or related field
Education and experience:
Vocational or Trade School
High School/Vocational School Diploma or GED required
