Job Summary:
Primary duties are day-to-day receiving, distribution, requisitioning and organization of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Location(s): Animas Surgical Center at Escalante; Animas Surgical Hospital at Rivergate
Reports to: Director of Supply Chain, ASC Supervisor, Lead Materials Clerk
Position Status: Non-exempt (hourly), FTE defined by Personnel Action Form (PAF)
Essential Job Functions:
- Signs for materials deliveries and facilitates movement of deliveries to shipping and receiving
- Documents receipt of items on packing slip and files with corresponding purchase order
- Moves items to appropriate storage location and ensures appropriate handling of sterile supplies and tissue.
- Documents receipt of items in MMIS or manual PO log
- Closes purchase orders using MMIS or manual PO log and files electronically
- Returns items for credit or repair and files return tracking information appropriately
- Stocks departments within facilities through distribution of items from central supply areas in a manner which ensures continuity of day to day operational activity
- Transfers products between department cost centers and sub accounts using MMIS or manual tracking system to ensure correct expensing
- Transports supplies and equipment between facility locations
- Submits requisitions as indicated to maintain inventory stock levels necessary for continuity of daily operations
- Processes and fulfills department
- Maintains storage locations in a neat and organized manner, including appropriate labeling of items
- Files receiving and distribution paperwork in an accurate and organized manner
- Assists with physical
- Monitors inventory levels in storeroom and PAR areas and notifies purchasing if adjustments are needed and/or performs tracking as indicated or requested

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or
Experience, Training, Knowledge: Strong computer Experience in healthcare/surgery preferred.
Licenses: Driver's license required

Physical Requirements:
This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to thirty (30)- fifty (50) pounds in routine material handling, stocking and redistributions process. Arm, hand, wrist, finger coordination required in order to utilize a computer terminal with accuracy and speed to enter and obtain information on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate in spoken and written formats in order to perform essential job functions.
Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures:
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS– Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel
Hepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals
Influenza- mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
Varicella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunization
Tuberculosis Screening- All new-hires undergo a two-step TB skin test
