Materials Coordinator, Footwear - Michael Kors : Job Details

You have a passion for supporting material related tasks, including material approvals, shipment tracking, and day to day communication with suppliers.What You'll Do:Initiate and follow up on seasonal sourcing requests to vendor partnersManage color standards and create seasonal color cards for all divisions and departmentsLaunch seasonal material development requestsCreate and manage seasonal and core material boards and development bindersMonitor material timeline management with close, daily vendor communicationRequest footwear material trials and pullovers, partnering closely with PD, Design and Merchandising on all updatesResponsible for creating and maintaining seasonal development chartsManage collection, thorough review, and PLM entry of all FDS & LDS sheets; partner with senior leadership on detail validationPartner with PD and Costing teams to update costing on materials and BOMsRequest, track, and monitor leather bundles, article masters, and bulk color approvalsDrive preliminary color approval, partnering with Manager and Senior Director on final sign off; manage seasonal color approval comments, follow up, and timelineManage and maintain color and material library and archiveSupport distribution of development references, swatches, skins, and fabric yardages to internal and external partnersConduct special projects for Senior LeadershipYou'll Need to Have:Bachelor's Degree2+ years' experience in Materials or Fashion industry a mustStrong acumen for managing large sets of dataStrong communication and impeccable organization skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of PLMDetail oriented and strong time managementWe'd Love to See:Sense of ownership and urgency at all timesFlexible with shifting of prioritiesAbility to interact and maintain positive relationships with diverse group of partners internally and externallyMK Perks:Generous Paid Time Off & Holiday ScheduleSummer FridaysInternal mobility across Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, VersaceCross-brand DiscountExclusive Employee SalesFav 5 Cards (MK Discount for friends and family)401k MatchPaid Parental LeaveThrive Wellness Program (seasonal in-office massages and more!)Commuter BenefitsGym DiscountsIn compliance with certain Pay Transparency laws, employers are required to disclose a salary range.
