Essential Functions Performed by the Position • Maintains and continuously improves upon operational performance and standards of quality, housekeeping and health and safety. • Ensures that safe and healthy practices are followed within the area covered by the job holder and that all aspects of company, site and legal occupational health and safety requirements are met. • Gains an understanding of the current production schedule to ensure materials can be made available for production in the required sequence. • Checks and verifies documentation and information available in relation to materials. • Ensures all day-to-day waste management, including arranging collections, when required. • Ensures returnable pallets and drums are collected to keep levels at a minimum. • Take ownership of the WMS database spreadsheet and manages supplier serial/MAS lot number traceability. • Unloads, checks, labels, and books all materials onto MAS • Carries out weekly cycle counts on items identified by the finance team. • Manages and maintains kanban for consumable items at each cell and workstation daily. • Carries out daily inspections on forklift trucks and reports any damage or faults to supplier. • Carries out weekly racking inspections, to identify and report any damage. • Ensures all material issues and bin transfers are processed in a timely manner to help improve and maintain accurate stocks on MAS. • Minimizes Operator downtime due to forklift activities by ensuring materials are delivered to cells/workstations in line with production requirements.
