Materials Handler/ Delivery Driver - Smith Industries, LLC : Job Details

Quality Requirements: Must learn and follow all quality requirements in accordance with Smith policy standards. Responsible for the monitoring, qualification, and training of employees which also includes API and ASME, or any other applicable standards, procedures, and work instructions which may apply to Smith Industries LLC. General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, above average communication and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and must be able to correctly read tape measure and have arithmetic knowledge. Must have a valid driver license with n major infractions or at fault accidents.Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday; occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to assess weights and judge distance and heights is necessary. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. Assists in keeping warehouse secure.
• Ensures the facility is kept clean and organized.
• Assists in maintaining inventory by assisting with monthly physical counts.
• Assists in maintaining storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
• Moves inventory to and from warehouse when assistance is needed; communicates inventory transfers with related departments.
• Communicates with supervisor on procedures; open items to be handled based on scheduling and priorities; ensures, via verbal and written communications.
• Assists in organizing item orders by editing for price, promotions, weight compliance.
• Reports damaged items, shortages, and shipments to supervisor.
• Keeps equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; follow operating procedures and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
