Materials Handler 1374412A leading electronics testing and measurement company is looking for a Materials Handler. The candidate will be responsible for packaging, shipping, receiving, and storing materials, ensuring accuracy and safety. They will manage inventory, restock production areas, and assist with cycle counts and discrepancy resolution. The ideal candidate has material handling experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. The company offers a family-oriented environment.Pay and Benefits:Hourly pay: $20/hrWorksite: Leading electronics testing and measurement (Santa Rosa, CA 95403 - Onsite)W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL40 hours/week, 24 Month AssignmentResponsibilities:Identify process efficiencies and/or productivity enhancements quarterly, or as determined by your direct supervisor.Become a subject matter expert on material handler responsibilities and assist the team as appropriate.Ability to communicate professionally to all levels within the company.Identify any safety or compliance opportunities, and provide solution-oriented feedback.Prepare and ship items using the appropriate shipping method, select the appropriate shipping container, and pack items for safe delivery.Prepares bills of lading.Receives and unloads incoming materials and uses available tools to verify the accuracy of shipments.Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.Traces lost shipments and/or files claims for lost or damaged items.Routinely performs administrative functions such as maintaining department databases, preparing routine reports, filing shipping, and receiving records.May operate material handling equipment that could include forklifts, electric pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines, carousels, walkie-stackers, and order pickers as needed.Provide root cause and corrective actions for monthly business fundamentals that fall out of control, or as requested by the direct supervisor.Provide first-level auditing of job transactions and output for compliance with written processes and required guidelines.Partner with direct supervisor on coordination of month-end, quarter-end, or year-end output requirements.Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, written work instructions, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or health standards.Performs miscellaneous logistics-related administrative duties as assigned.Maintain a clean, safe working environment and optimize space utilization.Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, without assistance.Qualifications:2+ years of previous material handling experience required.High school diploma or equivalent.Demonstrated track record of success in driving continuous improvement initiatives.Experience with Oracle WMS, TA-15, and logistic carrier databases preferred.Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.Demonstrates effective listening and communication (verbal and written) skills.Demonstrated success in a diverse, team-oriented work environment.Good organizational and time management skills.Experience with the operation of material handling equipment preferred.Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.Experience with MS Suite of applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.Forklift experience is a plus!#J-18808-Ljbffr
