We are responsible for all aspects of materials distribution, logistics, and reverse logistics from forecasting through delivery. This includes materials planning, inbound transportation, warehousing and distribution, client services, and investment recovery. The employees who comprise the Warehousing and Distribution organization within the Materials Department are dedicated to providing the right materials at the right time and cost to meet or exceed our client organization's expectations. Operating out of three strategically located distribution centers plus facilities dedicated to transmission pipe and pipeline products, our employees are laser-focused on customer satisfaction with public and employee safety at the foundation of everything they do.Position SummaryThis is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. This job is subject to collective bargaining.Material Handlers are responsible for the management of materials for gas, electric, telecommunications, grid, and transmission clients. They receive stock, pick, and distribute electrical and gas utility materials, such as transformers, cable, fittings, and meters. Duties include lifting and moving materials by equipment and by hand. Material Handlers also participate in annual inventory and periodic cycle counts at the facility.PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $34.53 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job.
