Job Description :

This position is accountable for providing leadership and establishing direction, setting priorities, managing, and coordinating the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies both internal and from the supply base in accordance with production and shipping schedules. This also includes supporting the execution of Global Sourcing Strategic Plan, Build-to-Order implementation and business and enterprise goals. This position is viewed as crucial to achieving company ROIA and QDRC goals.

What you will be doing…

  • Define and implement inventory strategies for internal operations and external supplier inventories
  • Reports to Director of Operations and has direct responsibility for supply management, buyer/planner, and master scheduling
  • Potential successor to Director of Operations position
  • Work with Global Planning Systems to exceed customer expectations
  • Manage supplier contracts and hold Commodity Managers accountable for selecting quality supply base
  • Manage large portion of inventory and accountable for accuracy of cycle counts
  • Lead actions to drive 98%+ supplier delivery and submit reports to senior management regarding materials control activities
  • Participate in Supplier negotiations within CoE to ensure productivity targets are met
  • Develop and execute department budget, drive compliance to documented processes and procedures, and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide direction and oversight for development of team members and participate in strategic planning for Materials Supply Chain Management

What we are looking for…

  • Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) required
  • 2-5 years of leadership experience required
  • 5+ years of related work in planning or sourcing required
  • Industrial manufacturing-based experience
  • Conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in driving continuous improvement activities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Build-To-Order and Six Sigma methodologies
