Will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;•Certification in Supply Chain Management preferred.Key Job Elements•Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy;•Schedule material demands into MRP system to support production schedule;•Interface with Program Managers to drive workflow that meets customer demands;•Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers;•Develop partnerships with qualified suppliers •Obtain competitive bids, analyze quotes;•Develop and maintain record keeping system for approved and critical suppliers;•Develop metrics and measure department performance;•Assist Accounting in resolving billing issues and order discrepancies with suppliers;•Interview and hire staff, and oversee staff training;•Assist Sales, Customer Service, Production, Estimating and Engineering in the quoting, scheduling and production process;•Manage and monitor inventory levels and control systems to meet defined metrics;•Identify and develop strategic suppliers / partnerships to support business goals; •Develop people and drive a strong culture of safety;•Relentless pursuit of continuous improvement. Make material and value flow.Qualifications and Experience•7 to 10 years of experience in Material Management and 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role;•Proven history of and willingness to drive change;•System accuracy - Ensure BOM is accurate -Work with sales department, strong collaboration, data and negotiation skills;•A strong understanding of ERP and how customer orders, manufacturing orders and MRP manipulators impact and drive strong planning, manufacturing decisions and inventory accuracy;•Strong understanding of lean warehouse management and delivery of materials to the floor - recognizing how lean material flow interacts with lean production flow on the floor;•The ideal candidate will self-generate ideas and change in this area, a leader who will take the initiative and push ideas, who is data driven and uses it to drive change and set expectations with their team;•Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, Belt certification a plus;•Demonstrated skills in Good written and verbal communication skills;•Excellent computer skills with emphasis on PC applications (spreadsheets, ppt., etc.);•Excellent math and problem solving skills;•Ability to reason out a step-by-step process;•Self motivating;•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;•Servant Leadership.Essential and Physical Activities Functions •Strength - Position requires lifting of 50lbs. Requires stamina and strength to work in tight and confined spaces while installing or repair machinery and components; •Motion - Position requires standing the majority of the day. Frequent walking, squatting, kneeling, and climbing of steps and stairs; •Vision/Hearing Requirements - Exposed to high levels of noise and vibration from using tools. Position is exposed to cutting torches and welding operations. The use of proper PPE is required. The Position requires the ability to read QWI and schematics and understand instructions; •Work Environment - Position can be located inside or outside, dependent on situation. When inside, the employees are subject to temperature extremes in non-temperature-controlled environments. When outside employees are subject to all weather elements. Employees will work with oils and other lubricants; •Emotional Demands - Expected to work and cooperate as part of team in order to meet production requirements; •Safety - Position is safety sensitive, as it requires working in and around live tracks and operation and repair of heavy equipment. Position requires strict adherence to safety policies (i.e., blue flag) and use of all PPE.
