A high-growth food and beverage brand is seeking a Materials Manager to join their growing team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Project Management, or related field; CPIM certification (APICS or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Procurement & Supply Chain Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in CPG food manufacturing.
  • ERP System Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Dynamics GP, SAGE, or similar.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, solve complex issues, and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to influence decision-making, drive cross-functional alignment, and build consensus.
  • Adaptability & Accountability: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Scope of Role:

  • Oversee Material Management & Team Operations: Supervise the Materials Team, delegate responsibilities, and ensure efficient material-related activities to support on-time production at contract manufacturers (comans).
  • Manage Procurement & Inventory: Lead Buyers to ensure timely material delivery, resolve inventory discrepancies, and work with procurement and transportation teams to address excess stock, damaged freight, and shipment issues.
  • Monitor & Communicate Production Changes: Review weekly reports from comans and planning teams, assess feasibility of production adjustments, and proactively communicate material-related issues to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Support New Product Launches & Packaging Transitions: Assist Product Development and Commercialization teams in onboarding new projects and managing procurement activities for successful product and packaging transitions.
  • Build & Maintain Relationships: Develop strong partnerships with comans and suppliers through clear, proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Drive ESG & Compliance Initiatives: Support company environmental and social impact goals, encourage team accountability for ESG commitments, and adhere to organizational policies.
  • Coach & Develop Team: Provide mentorship, set performance goals, offer feedback, and cultivate a high-performance team environment.
