Materials Supervisor - Valmont Industries : Job Details

Duties. Be a leader of the Valmont Way, including active participation and leadership of Kaizen events, Lean problem solving and Value Stream Improvement. Demonstrate commitment to Valmont Safety Mission and immediately address any safety issues in the work area. Consult with EHS Manager when necessary to resolve issues. Provide supervision, training and direction for the cycle counting, transaction auditing and material rejection processes in order to ensure that all inventory transactions are processed appropriately and inventory is accurately counted. Work with the Inventory Specialist to identify SKUs with recurrent inaccurate inventory records and utilize Root Cause Analysis tools to address recurrent problems. Act as an internal educator and consultant on material management and inventory control issues, providing education and training throughout the site to improve understanding of these functions.
