Mathnasium - Learning Center ManagerAre you passionate about education and ready to embark on a career that combines business operations, sales, analytics, and customer service? Mathnasium, located in the Evergreen area of San Jose, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Learning Center Manager.About Us:At Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center, we believe in teaching math in a way that makes sense to students from Pre-K to 12th grade. Our mission is to empower students to gain confidence in their math knowledge and improve their overall math education. We focus on strengthening math fundamentals and building number sense to help our students succeed.Responsibilities:Sales and Marketing:
  • Administer math assessments to diagnose learning gaps and create tailored learning plans for students.
  • Successfully enroll students in the Mathnasium program, providing exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with the Owner to manage sales, enrollment, and marketing activities.
  • Excel in interpersonal communication, anticipating questions, and proactively solving problems.
  • Lead marketing efforts to create a supportive community within our center and spread the word about Mathnasium.
  • Taking accountability of center enrollment & effectively selling the Mathnasium program
  • Diligent to respond to texts, calls and emails.
Student Success:
  • Capable of effectively balancing educational duties, such as administering assessments, diagnosing student learning gaps, and prescribing an effective learning plan.
  • Ensure students are receiving exceptional instruction.
  • Ensure students are progressing at a good pace.
Parent Relationships:
  • Act as a Mathnasium ambassador, ensuring that every student and family receives exceptional service throughout their journey.
  • \Engage positively with parents, building rapport and trust, and addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Care deeply about each parent's and student's learning goals, discussing progress through various channels.
  • Solicit and act on parent feedback to enhance the student experience.
Community and Schools Outreach:
  • Support the Center Owners in building strong relationships with local communities and schools.
  • Drive local awareness of Mathnasium offerings through market development initiatives.
  • Manage center social media accounts and website.
  • Promote Mathnasium through collaborations, partnerships, events, media coverage, and PR.
  • Foster relationships with schools, PTA and PTO organizations, and local school districts to provide supplemental educational services.
Administrative duties
  • Delegating tasks and duties properly to team members to ensure the center is running efficiently.
  • Managing the scheduling of employees, utilizing center management software, and ensuring the center is running smoothly.
  • Creating student binders.
  • Keeping the center clean.
Training, and development of employees
  • Employee development/manager duties, such as proper scheduling and providing on the job training/coaching.
  • Screen, hire, train, motivate, and develop employees to effectively staff the center for maximum student engagement and efficiency.
  • Build trust with team members, establish effective manager-employee relationships, and nurture talent to fulfill center staffing needs.
  • Inspire, motivate, lead, and develop team members at multiple positions effectively and simultaneously.
  • Identify talent in team members and develop them professionally and personally.
Qualifications:
  • Recent college graduate or professional with a degree in mathematics, sciences, engineering, communications, or teaching.
  • Strong foundational math skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the United States K-12 education system.
  • 2+ years of prior customer service experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications, as well as data entry.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Desire to grow within the company in a leadership capacity.
