• Specialty: Gastroenterology• Job Type: Locum Tenens• Facility Location: Yakima, WA• Service Setting: Inpatient• Reason For Coverage: Supplemental• Coverage Period: Nov 18, 2024 - Ongoing• Coverage Type: Call Only• Call Schedule: 24-hr call or 12-hr shift - 3 weeks/month• Call Type: Beeper• Call Response Time: 20 min• Patient Volume: 5-10; 3-6 (new IP consults)• Daily Procedures: 5-8• Phone Consults: 3-6• Physician in Practice: GI, Anesthesiologist• Support Staff: 1 APPs, 2 RNs, 1 MA• Required Procedures: - Upper GI endoscopy: with Biopsy, Foreign Body Removal, Fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), Injection of Varices, PEG - ERCP, Lower GI Endoscopy - Flexible & Rigid Sigmoidoscopy - Colonoscopy: With Biopsy & Excision of Polyp• Duties/Responsibilities: - Communicate biopsy results for all procedures to the patient directly – or routed through the designated clinic MA. - Coordinate additional steps to include referrals, follow-ups and additional imaging as may be necessary.• Trauma Level: III• EMR: Epic• Temporary Privileges available: Yes• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:• Active WA License or IMLC• BC/BE• ACLS
