MDS Coordinator Qualifications - Requirements to apply
  • Valid RN in good standing
  • MDS experience in a Long Term Care facility
  • MDS credentialed
  • Nursing degree is preferred
MDS Coordinator Responsibilities - What will be asked of you
  • The RN MDS Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure that comprehensive assessments are completed timely, and that each resident has an appropriate individualized plan of care.
  • The MDS Coordinator will be the facility resource for continued staff education in the RAI process.
  • Completes intake assessments and displays the ability to analyze care needs as well as financial impact of potential admissions.
  • Participates in QA activities.
  • Assists with continued development and utilization of the EMR.
