SUMMARY: The Meat Production Worker is responsible for serving meat products to customers at counter and preparing meat products for sale or consumption by performing the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recommends, slices, weighs, packages and prices meat & seafood products.• Maintains and rotates products and displays to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.• Provides excellent service to meat counter customers by responding to requests and making recommendations.

• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand• Ensures that food safety standards are followed for cooling and storage of food items to prevent an environment for exposure to bacteria associated with food borne illnesses.

• Handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations.• Takes necessary measures to avoid food waste.• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:• Knowledge and understanding of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. • Ability to perform duties in a team environment. • Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitment
