DescriptionSUMMARY: Responsible for mechanical diagnostics, repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline industrial trucks, and any other industrial machinery.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete inspections, maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, pickups, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment. Keep track of important system components such as diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, steering and suspension systems. Ability to use maintenance software programs, laptops, and hand-held computers to aid in equipment diagnostics. Maintain proper service records on work completed in Vehicle Maintenance Systems (VMS) tracking parts and labor with clear, concise, and complete comments. Read and sign off on Daily Vehicle Inspection Records (DVIR) in Motive. Ability to document systems accurately and in a timely manner.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience with diesel and gasoline engines, and heavy equipment repair.
- Must be able to accurately and in a timely manner document maintenance and labor activities in the proper maintenance and compliance systems.
- Also, must be able to accurately record hours worked.
OTHER:
- Forklift certification is preferred and will be required after completion of the introductory period.
- Class A or B CDL is preferred.

Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
