Lead MechanicDuties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain proficiency in the diagnostics and repair of all assigned equipment.Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to assigned equipment.Read and comprehend service troubleshooting guides using OEM softwareMaintain an advanced level of skill in diesel after treatment, air brakes, electrical and lighting systems.Perform safety and annual inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulationsTrain and assist technicians on new or advanced repairsService as a backup to the shop manager by directing workflow in the shopTrack and assist in warranty filingAssist with tire retread inventory and ordersMaintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company/OSHA standardsInteract courteously and professionally with drivers, vendors, and other employees regarding vehicle repairs and shop business.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities10years of heavy-duty repair and maintenance experienceAbility to work with minimal supervisionEffective communicator with strong written and oral skillsHigh level of attention to detailBasic level of Microsoft office skillsSpecial RequirementsRequires a high school diploma or its equivalentExperience with OEM diagnostic software is requiredBrake certification or experience in accordance with FMCSA 396.25 requiredValid CDL is preferred but not requiredPI7921d3225b5c-31181-#######1.
