Job Duties - Performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities. - Assist in maintaining plant security. - Maintain equipment and tools. - Dispose of waste materials, empty containers, and piece drums accordingly - Calibrate equipment as needed/required. - Keep work areas clean. Education Required - Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic. - Working knowledge of mechanics - Ability to read blueprints and sketches - Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics Mechanical Aptitudes Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps and dies. 2Electrical High voltage 460-volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer controlled systems. 3Utilities Piping (water, air and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors. Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics.
