Visit us at: www.OdysseyLogistics.com/careers About the Job: The position of Mechanic will have primary responsibility to work in conjunction with other mechanics to perform regular inspections and routine maintenance, and repairs on company forklifts(s), clamp truck(s) and attachment (s) in compliance with Federal and State regulations. In This Role, You Will: Adhere to maintenance, shop rules and safety regulations. Establish and maintain relationships with co-workers(s), and driver(s). Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors and other assigned mechanics. Follow applicable checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas. Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers performance specifications. Confer with drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and to discuss work to be performed. Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Trouble shooting and Diagnostic review of issues found with forklifts/clamp trucks and shop equipment. Preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on forklifts(s), clamp truck(s) and attachment (s). Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. Make all other general repairs and/or adjustments on vehicles in accordance with company and manufacturer specifications. Maintain and repair shop equipment. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Participate in company training programs, safety events, company functions and meetings when requested. ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table! Required: Must be 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must own and maintain adequate hand tools. Knowledge of Federal, State, OHSA, EPA and DOT regulations is required. This position is designated as a safety sensitive position and will include a 5-panel drug test that includes marijuana. Responsible for periodic driving duties of all company equipment within the parameters of your job duties, which will further require you to maintain an active drivers license at all times. Should your drivers license status change, you are required to report the change to your supervisor immediately. Location: This is an in-office role based in Northlake, IL. Hours vary Monday through Friday between 6am and 4:30pm. Travel between Odyssey Consumer Warehousing Illinois facility locations. As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets. The base pay range for this position is: $35.00 to $37.50 per hour.
