We are currently looking for a Certified DOT Mechanic to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for automotive repair and maintenance, a strong attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and diagnostic tests on diesel engines and related equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical systems, and equipment. Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Maintain a fleet of tag-along and semi-trailers, ensuring compliance with DOT annual inspections.
• Handle tire maintenance, suspension repairs, and wiring and light repairs.
• Perform engine, brakes, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs.
• Respond to service calls and perform emergency on-site repairs as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain records on maintenance and repair work.
• Record all work orders in the Electronic Fleet Maintenance System.
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the fleet management team to schedule maintenance and optimize vehicle availability.

• Communicate complex technical issues to customers and obtain descriptions of vehicle problems from drivers.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license and own tools.
• Highly alert with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Vocational training or certification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel (up to 75%) and work flexible hours.

Location: Hernshaw, WV

Salary: Competitive hourly pay ($25.00 - $30.00 per hour) based on experience
