Four years or more experience as a gasoline and diesel mechanic. Must possess a valid CDL Class B Passenger Endorsement and SDE Bus Driver Certificate. Spends 80-85% of time on feet during working hours, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching. Must be skilled at using air hoist, jacks, micrometer, calipers, wrenches electronic scope and tune up equipment.Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds. Department of Motor vehicle records will be requested yearly. Superintendent may approve appropriate and acceptable alternatives to the listed qualifications.CONTRACT: 12 monthsWORKING HOURS: 8 hours daily, usually between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.REPORTS TO: Director Transportation EVALUATED BY: Director of Transportation SUPERVISES: Does not supervise GRADE: VESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Overhaul, repair, maintain, and service school vehicles.

Plan work schedule for the repairs of all vehicles.

Maintain maintenance records of vehicles.

Subject to be called at night if a vehicle has mechanical problems.

Refuel and detail district vehicles.

Drive Bus on Route.

Perform other duties as assigned.
