SummaryUnder general supervision safely performs tasks associated with the operation, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and related equipment in the shop, yard or customer location. Employees in this position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing of Coiled Tubing equipment or other assigned equipment. Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations. Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards. Key Accountabilities
  • Operate, service, and maintain equipment in a safe manner
  • Complete all documentation required for equipment service, inspections, and maintenance
  • Complete electronic DOT driver logs daily
  • Comply with required safety and operational procedures
  • Train and mentor less experienced crew members during jobs
  • Assists other employees with equipment rigs up and down
  • Perform required inspections and maintenance of equipment and ensure that iron certifications are up to date
  • Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations
  • Actively participates in safety meetings and assists in identifying and addressing risks and hazards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment; reviews equipment status with operational personnel and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of trucks and equipment
  • Inspects, repairs, maintains, makes recommendations, and performs modifications to functional parts of a variety of equipment and machinery
  • Diagnoses maintenance requirements on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, differentials, electrical circuits, AC power plant, hydraulic systems, and chassis through diagnostic aids, inspections, and interpretation of equipment reports with assistance
  • Disassembles, overhauls, and replaces worn parts on equipment as required
  • Troubleshoots on conventional and specialized equipment
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Assists in training and mentoring maintenance technician trainees, orients operators in maintenance procedures and field maintenance for specialized equipment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting
  • Exposure to working outdoors and extreme weather conditions
  • Must have the flexibility to work any schedule based on business needs, including weekends, and be on a on-call rotation
  • Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing, and job-relevant hiring requirements
Education Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience
  • 2 - 3 years' experience required
  • Related Experience:
  • Mechanical skills should include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of trucks, cranes and related equipment
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid CDL, highly desired
  • Candidates with a Valid Class A Driver's License should possess the proper endorsements for the type of vehicle operated, issued by state of residence
