Summary DescriptionAs the Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and updates on a variety of small engine landscape equipment and work trucks. Your expertise in diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and ensuring equipment functionality will be critical to the success of our operations.Specific ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all duties listed and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
  • Perform comprehensive repairs and updates on various types and brands of landscape equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other small engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as replacing lights, windshield wipers, washer fluid, and performing brake pad replacements to ensure reliable and safe operation.
  • Proactively identify and diagnose issues with broken or poorly running equipment, utilizing your expertise and troubleshooting skills to effectively address and resolve problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment warranties, ensuring timely warranty claims for newer pieces of equipment, and collaborating with suppliers to maximize warranty coverage.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including changing and cleaning filters, sharpening blades, checking oil and fluid levels, and addressing any other necessary adjustments to maintain peak performance.
  • Maintain accurate digital records of equipment inventory through regular inventory checks
  • Manage inventory of supplies and parts
  • Conduct regular equipment safety training for all employees
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient and timely completion to minimize equipment downtime.
