About the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA): IDOA helps to ensure the smooth function of state government, finding efficient and effective solutions to government-wide needs. Salary Statement : The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on State owned vehicles Perform cleaning and detailing service on State owned vehicles Perform minor vehicle repairs to State owned vehicles. examples: batteries, light bulbs, wiper blades etc. Assist other Fleet Services Technicians with various operations including but not limited to mounting and balancing tires/wheels, recharging A/C systems, tire rotations, brake inspections, used car inspections etc. Maintain safe and clean working environment through out Fleet Services Department. Inspect, clean and catagorize vehicles for surplus sale. Maintain vehicle repair tracking using Asset Works/ M5 system. Job Requirements: One (1) year experience as an automotive repair technician; or accredited college/vocational training in a related field preferred Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems and vehicle repair. Ability to use shop equipment such as tire changer, tire balancer, battery charger, A/C recovery/ recycling machine. Practical knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and the ability to wear protective equipment, including a respirator.
