RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.Rogers Group is currently seeking candidates to fill an EXPERIENCED MECHANIC position in our Southern Middle Tennessee area, based out of our shop, located in Lawrenceburg, TN. This position will perform repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of asphalt related construction equipment and dump trucks.The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the industry. JOB DETAILS:

  • Location: Lawrenceburg, TN
  • Hourly wage is based on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of asphalt related construction equipment and dump trucks.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and able to perform all duties under DOT regulations & company safety policies and practices.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working on construction equipment and on-road trucks.
  • Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance on construction equipment and dump trucks.
  • Perform on-site and in-field maintenance and repairs on paving equipment, when needed.
  • Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
  • Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.
  • Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment.
  • Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
  • Weekend work/overtime may be required.
  • Experience performing DOT Annual Inspections preferred
  • Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist and lift 70lbs.
  • Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
  • A valid Class B CDL with a hazmat and tanker endorsement is a plus, but not required.
