Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionA production company in Ramsey, MN is currently hiring Mechanical Assemblers for various shifts. This company specializes in building and manufacturing workout and gym equipment, including ellipticals, weight racks, and tension weight machines. Employees will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks required to assemble, prepare sub-assemblies, and move completed units. There are 32 different machines that require assembly.ResponsibilitiesComplete assembly of various models of machines following established procedures.Move machines as required.Verify completed machines meet quality standards and initial paperwork.Use a manual and electric pallet jack.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsThe ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.The ability to bend, twist, or turn repeatedly throughout the shift.6 months of previous working experience is required.Preferably 6 months of previous assembly or manufacturing experience.Able to work with power tools or hand tools, mechanically inclined.Good work history, even if it is not in manufacturing.Ability to operate small air, hand, and electric tools.Ability to read work instructions and drawings.Ability to effectively communicate.Ability to accurately read a tape measure.Good memorization skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical assembly experienceMechanically inclinedExperience as a laborerWhy Work Here?As a contractor, you will have access to the company's state-of-the-art gym. However, it is the newest part of the building, making it a fairly nice work environment. The facility is very well-lit with skylights and organized. Employees are trained in multiple assembly lines, which necessitates versatility. The work is done in assembly pods composed of roughly 3-4 people, where each pod assembles certain machines.
