Job Description:

  • This role will support production and development/prototype assemblies and products within the Advanced Product Center at the McKinney, TX site.
  • The selected candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing / production environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • May set up and operate a variety of machine and hand instruments.
  • May route, dispatch and expedite flow of material.
  • Checks for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments.
  • All work is performed in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards.
  • Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
  • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.
  • Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Develop more than one job at a time and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
Requirements:
  • Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.)
  • Shift job assignments based on production requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards
  • Communicate effectively, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
  • Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
  • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.
  • Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to accomplish daily work tasks with a positive attitude and interpersonal tact skills.
  • Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
Education:
  • 2 or more years of applicable work experience
  • Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools
