HEICO is currently recruiting a Mechanical Assembler for its Seal Dynamics Business Unit, located in Tampa, FL.SUMMARY:The Mechanical Technician is primarily responsible for the assembly of the various Hydraulic Pressure Covers, Couplings, Dust Covers and Plugs, and the PASS/FAIL functional testing on the final assemblies.PRIMARY KEY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet the daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Operate machinery daily in an advanced safety conscious manner.
- Perform daily checks and light machinery and preventative maintenance as required.
- Perform all job tracking functions in the ERP system as it relates to the manufacturing process. Knowledge of Syteline is a plus.
- Promotes, complies, actively participates and enforces the importance of the Quality Management System and Safety Management System.
SUPPORT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Manufacturing area in establishing, implementing, and maintaining of the MOPS (Manufacturing Operating Procedures) and work instructions.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Comply with all environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
- Assure that work meets expected quality standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping.
- Provide guidance, training or mentoring for other team members as needed.
- Perform other general duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Minimum of 3 years in a related Manufacturing or Machining Environment. Trade School experience is an option.
- Ability to read Blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools, including pliers, dental picks, airlines, and pneumatic rivet squeezer. Any manual lathe experience is a plus.
- Ability to work with various materials and chemicals (metal, rubber, chemical etching solution to cleaning solutions), and a willingness to wear PPE such as safety glasses and gloves when required.
- Basic Math skills and the ability to use computer-based applications with Microsoft Office as a minimum.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 Quality Systems.
