Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The work schedule is from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays when high volume orders are received. You will be involved in installing ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, and other components into vans from GM, as well as assembling shelving units and cabinets. A solid understanding of hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read diagrams, is essential.
Responsibilities
Install ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, and other components into GM vans
Pre-assemble shelving units and install them
Build cabinets as part of the assembly process
Utilize hand and power tools effectively
Read and interpret diagrams for assembly instructions
Essential Skills
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
Experience in mechanical assembly
Strong understanding of mechanical production processes
Capability to stand, lift, bend, twist, and squat throughout the workday
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Interest in vehicles and mechanical work
Previous experience in furniture assembly is beneficial
Ability to follow instructions and read assembly diagrams

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans or work pants, and a work shirt. Eye and ear protection, as well as gloves, will be provided. However, you must bring your own tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, and hammer.
