Aerotek is hiring multiple Mechanical Assemblers!Job Description:As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling test filtration machinery to meet production and quality standards. You will select assembly methods and procedures according to blueprints, ensuring parts fit tolerances and operating requirements. This role involves the use of hand and power tools, aligning subassemblies, cutting and fitting pipe and tubing, and performing operating tests and final adjustments.ResponsibilitiesAssemble manufactured or purchased parts, motors, pumps, and subassemblies into completed units and make necessary electrical and piping connections.Position parts according to the layout of the unit being assembled or according to engineering drawings.Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.Drill and tap holes for fasteners.Visually inspect parts and assemblies for fit and surface defects, and advise supervisor of discrepancies.Remove small quantities of metal with hand files to produce a close fit between parts.Test components and units for proper operation.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingProficient with hand tools and power toolsBlueprint knowledgeMechanical assemblyInstallationHydraulicsMachine buildingAdditional Skills & QualificationsWeldingMaintenance technician experienceWiringPreventive maintenanceFabricationElectrical and mechanical skillsWhy Work Here?We offer comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
