Essential Duties:
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other such as engines, generators, enclosures, electrical panels, ECU's, wire harnesses and related mechanical and electrical components in accordance with specific drawings, schematics, verbal or written instructions
- Bolts, clips, screws, cements, welds or otherwise fastens parts together
- Safely operates machines, such as drill presses, bench grinders, welding equipment, mechanical lifting equipment and pneumatic hand tools, to perform fitting or fastening operations on assembly line
- Assigned to various work stations as production needs require
- Works on a production line where tasks can vary depending on various models of similar units
- Ability to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily
- Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- High School diploma or GED preferred. In lieu of diploma, relevant work experience demonstrating the required job skills and abilities needed to successfully perform the job
- 1-3 years industry experience preferred
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, written or verbal instructions
- Calculates figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Identifies defective components and recommend alternative solutions
- Operation of small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time
- Eye/hand coordination required, with steady and agile hands to operate equipment and tools
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
