Responsibilities:
- Layout, wiring, and mounting of custom truck bodies on trucks
- Setting up and operating machines that will cut, bend, saw, punch steel into custom parts needed for body mounting
- Completing mechanics work such as working with hydraulics and mounting PTO (power take offs) and pumps
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Tools Used: Overhead chain hoists, forklift trucks, handcarts, all types of hand/air tools, business operating system, etc.Safety Equipment: Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards, ear plugs, gloves, aprons, safety props, grinding shields, welding sleeves, etc.Environment: Heavy industrial atmosphere including exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, occasionally cramped quarters, and possibly wet conditionsWork Schedule: Monday thru Thursday, 5:45am - 4:15pm, with flexibility for overtime on FridaysJob Requirements:
Must know basic math to set up and operate machines accurately, measure and problem solve.Preferred experience operating a hand plasma and wire feed welding. Ability to pass weld test preferred.Preferred one to two years experience in Installation or related vehicle experienceAbility to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using the overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.Ability to stand and work on concrete for several hours at a time. Ability to work in a variety of positions, including kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning and climbing.Ability to read job specifications to determine material layouts, machine adjustments, complicated instructions, blueprints and measuring devices. Ability to perform basic computer data entry.Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, electrical controls and wiring.Able to work in a team environment to identify and determine effective counter measures, attend and participate in required company meetings.Ability to attain and maintain production efficiencies and quality standards.Must work in a safe manner, including following safety procedures, including wearing personal protection equipment noted above, completing maintenance requests, and communicating hazards to co-workers and management.Must be a team player that works with other departments or facilities to meet company goals.Must be detail orientated, energetic and goal driven.Must embrace the lean tools and apply them for measurable results.Must have desire to participate and lead kaizen events in area work cells.Additional Job Information:• Wage Expectations: $17.00 to $23.00 per hour• Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis• Typical Schedule: Four (4) Ten (10) hour days M-F, Overtime may be available on your 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays• Location: On Site - 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal MN 56055• Travel: Very minimal to noneBenefits:Employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following the completion of 30 days of employment for:
