This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Job Description:Intermountain Electronics, Inc., is seeking Mechanical Assembly Technicians for our Second Shift at our Centralia, IL facility. IE is a leading provider of custom engineered and manufactured process, and electrical systems to the mining, oil & gas, and power/utility industries. IEs turnkey products are generally mobile - mounted on skids or in portable e-houses. Our products include portable power/generators, substations, electrical control rooms (MCCs/VFDs/switchgear), water-flood/disposal buildings, compressor skids, metering equipment, mining power skids, and other products used in the energy, oil and gas, and mining sectors.What will you do at IE?Mechanical Assembly Technicians are accountable for installing cable trays, cutting, bending and installing buss bar, hanging doors/siding, installing specialty components, assembling and attaching electrical components/devices on electrical equipment such as E-houses, LACT units, metering skids, switch gear, capacitor banks, MCC houses, control centers, etc. You may install siding and doors, as well as assists with bending sheet metal, paint preparation, and building shipping preparation. Our second shift works 410-hour shifts.Your duties may include:Measure fit and install interior/exterior insulation and/or panels.Install various types of siding, windows, and metal panel products on modular buildings, skids, E-houses and other portable structures.Mount and install door assemblies.Install panic hardware and closures.Install roofing material.Measure, cut, trim and bend product according to specifications.Cut and trim access holes and penetrations. Troubleshoot engineering and fabrication defects.Waterproof surfaces by filling joints, cracks with calking compound.Perform exterior trim work.Perform installations compliant with current regulations and customer specifications.Responsible for assigned project completion, quality, and delivery according to work schedule.Design, build, and erect shipping split walls.Prep building for shipping. Clean and touch up.Paint preparation activitiesSheet steel bending and other materials handling activities as needed.
