API Heat Transfer is seeking a talented Mechanical Designer for our Buffalo facility to support both strategic and ongoing customer engagements. What We Offer You:

  • Range of Pay $50,000-$60,000 with bonus potential
What You Will Do: The Designer will provide designs, calculations, drawings, BOMs, etc. for various product initiatives.
  • Design of custom heat exchangers using Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Generate detail drawings, BOM's, and Manufacturing Requirements
  • Perform ASME code calculations to support the overall design (training in Codeware Compress software provided)
  • Prepare layouts for components and subassemblies with focus on designing for cost and manufacturability
  • Provide engineering and technical support for the layout, design, and evaluation of equipment, including checking of drawings and other related engineering documents.
  • Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, application engineering, and sales to deliver customer projects
  • Ensure the design of equipment adheres to current standards
  • Support the team with validating each other's output, analysis of results, and other efforts to produce world-class products
What You Bring:
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Computer Aided Drafting/ Design Technology
  • Experience with Solidworks (or Autodesk Inventor)
  • Collaborative, analytical, and solution focused
  • Versatile, highly motivated, and team oriented attitude
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and/or methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc.) is a plus
