Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates 3D models of parts and prototypes using Solidworks software.
  • Generates 2D prints using AutoCAD for part prints and tool designs.
  • Feasibility assessment of specifications, new part designs and tooling.
  • Completing cost estimate worksheets (CEW's) and engineering change notifications (ECN's).
  • Assist with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment conferring with equipment vendors as needed.
  • Conducts research to determine equipment and parts availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost of specified projects.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods as needed; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing process.
  • Identifies causes of process instability and recommends solutions.
  • Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.
  • Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified.
  • Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • CAD software: AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, including common engineering concepts, practices and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of production employees
  • Ability to operate ERP and MRP system effectively
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Advanced PC, Excel and Analytical skills
  • Knowledge of advanced production quality planning, design skills and design of experiments
  • Data collection / SPC
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills
