Mechanical Engineer - Powercast Corporation : Job Details

Powercast Corporation is a fast-growing wireless technology and product company. Our products focus on wireless power (1uW to 600W) and wireless communications (Bluetooth, NFC, RFID, etc.). We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support numerous applications and product lines, and join our expanding and close-knit team in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering team to design, manufacture and assemble small, low-power electronic devices
• Design injection molded plastic parts, stamped/formed metal parts, and electronic assemblies
• Use sound engineering and design principles to create new prototypes and update legacy products
• Work closely with the operations team to manage vendors and manufacturers

Required Skills

• 3D modeling software (Solidworks preferred)
• Experience with PCBA integration
• Willingness to work on multiple concurrent projects
• Results & team oriented with a strong desire for hands-on work
• Good communication skills

Experience

• Preferred two years or more of experience in designing and building prototypes
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
