Mechanical Engineer – Licensed Professional Engineer

San Antonio, TX Metroplex

$50-$90/hr

We are seeking a Licensed Mechanical Engineer with thorough experience in HVAC system design within the residential and multi-family industry, healthcare, municipal, or K-12. The Licensed Mechanical Engineer will bring a strong technical background, superb project management skill, and commitment to grow their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design HVAC systems: heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy management systems
  • Ensure all designs meet building codes and standards: IMC, ASHRAE, and local requirements
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations to size equipment and ductwork
  • Ensure all design is in compliance with IECC or LEED
  • Work closely with other disciplines, architects, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems
  • Prepare detailed construction drawing, specifications, and equipment schedules using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Oversee mechanical engineering within projects
  • Communicate directly with clients to thoroughly understand project needs and provide expert guidance

    • Qualifications:

  • PE license
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical system design for commercial projects
  • AutoCAD and Revit
  • Familiarity with energy modeling
  • LEED AP (preferred)
