Mechanical Engineer - Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories : Job Details

Join our growing SEL Panels team where we have the pleasure of integrating our SEL equipment into various panels for our end users. The types of panel size vary from retrofit plates to full size outdoor enclosures. As a Mechanical Engineer you will work with our customers and internal SEL Panels team consisting of designers, project managers, purchasing team, and our production team. Our project life cycle on average is 12-14 weeks. The project work consists of creating custom sheet metal parts, creating and/or reviewing drawings for production, as well as working closely with production while the project is being constructed. Continuous improvement using Lean, 6-sigma, and World Class Manufacturing principles is an important aspect of every jobe at SEL. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will lead and model these principles, as well as modeling the SEL core values every day. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.
