Mechanical Engineer - Robotics/EE Scope: • Strong understanding of materials and manual/machine fabrication processes. • Solid understanding of available automation components and vendors. • Knowledgeable with relevant safety, industrial, and institutional standards & experience designing systems that comply with the standards. • Has the ability to develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs • experience solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, subcontractors and suppliers. • Manage projects using engineering principles/techniques • Experience producing detailed specs & design docs to build/operate the equipment it represents. • Able to review production of prototype designs & recommend modifications following operational test results. Required: • Experience with one or more of the following: SolidWorks, Pro-E, NX , Catia, or Autocad • Experience with the following – servos, stepper motors, drive, bearings, industrial robots, pneumatics, PLCs. • Through experience with modeling & PLM/PDM experience in industrial automation, robotics. • Solid machine design & build aptitude focused on electrical and mechanical systems. • Experience with design for manufacturing. • Experience with electrical Panel and system design which are compliant with relevant standards.
